This banned book cover highlights the story of Junior, a 14 year old boy who is born with hydrocephalus. He is called “hydrohead,” has teeth removed because he was born with too many, and has one near-sighted and one far-sighted eye.  He faces the challenge of living on a reservation, which leads him to school in an all-white town. Junior is not the wealthiest in comparison to his peers and he must deal with the inflating emotions surrounding his high school experience.
